DFS Stirling has kicking off another summer of fundraising to support BBC Children in Need by helping to raise an astonishing £750,421 in 2016.
The store is just one of hundreds that have been supporting BBC Children in Need as a corporate partner over the last four years, raising almost £3million to date.
This summer, the team based at Springkerse Retail Park will be undertaking lots of fundraising activity and continuing its Give Me Five promotion – all in a bid to help disadvantaged children and young people in Stirling and beyond.
Their campaign, which is now in its third year, encourages customers to enter a competition for £5, when they order with DFS, the proceeds of which go to BBC Children in Need.
In return, customers are entered into a monthly prize draw to win their entire order for free.
Shirley Ann Young, Stirling store manager, said: “Helping to support BBC Children in Need is a cause that resonates with all our employees and it’s great to know that the money we continue to raise makes a huge difference to the lives of the children right here in Stirling.”
Lisa Wilson, senior partnership account manager at BBC Children in Need, added: “BBC Children in Need support projects across the whole UK but also right here in Stirling .
“Without the dedication of our corporate partners, like DFS, that fundraise throughout the year and raise funds though activities such as their Give me 5 initiative – we simply wouldn’t be able to make the difference we do to over 2,400 projects right here in the UK."
