THERE was a massive turnout in Stirling last Saturday for the annual military show.

Thousands came out to show their support to the many veterans and cadets taking part in the event.

The parade once again proved to be a highlight with Port Street stowed with many taking in the start of the march.

With the bikers leading the way, the procession left the cross and made its way to King's Park where they were met by a large crowd.

All the armed forces and emergency services were represented with members of the army, the navy, the air force, Police Scotland, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the Scottish Ambulance Service all setting out their stalls.

There was even members of the bomb disposal unit, deep sea divers and a range of support organisations such as Help for Heroes.

The audience were treated to performances from the Royal Burgh of Stirling Pipe Band as well as the singer Dionne Hickey and the Kennedy Cupcakes dance troupe.

Active Stirling also delivered a Body Combat class, followed by the Cadet Association Drill Competition.

There was also an infantry demonstration, and a performance from the Soul Nation Choir, with the day rounded off by the Beating of the Retreat.
