RESURFACING work is set to shut the Clackmannanshire Bridge for two nights next week.

The bridge will close on Monday May 8 and Thursday May 11 from 8pm-6am for traffic travelling towards the Kilbagie roundabout.

Full overnight closures will be in place during the work between the Higgins Neuk and Kilbagie roundabouts, with a signed vehicle diversion route set to be in operation.

Traffic travelling northbound on the A876 will be diverted at Higgins Neuk Roundabout to proceed along the Kincardine Bridge.

From there, traffic will join the A876 north approach road, taking a left turn onto the A977 Feregait and continuing on this road until the Kilbagie Roundabout, where the diversion ends.

A876 southbound traffic will be diverted at the Kilbagie Roundabout onto the A977 Feregait and will proceed on this route to take a right turn at the A876 north approach road. From here, traffic will turn right at the traffic lights to cross the Kincardine Bridge, continuing towards the Higgins Neuk Roundabout where diversion will end.

The work has been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland, Traffic Scotland, the emergency services, First Bus (South East and Central) and Clackmannanshire Council.
