WITNESSES are being sought following a fatal car crash in Stirlingshire today, Thursday March 30.
The incident happened on the A81 near to the Ballatt Crossroads around 7.30am and involved a tipper lorry.
The 42-year-old male driver sadly passed away at the scene and it is understood that the road between Ward Toll and Ballatt Crossroads will remain closed for some time.
Sergeant Adam Weir, from the Forth Valley Road Policing Unit, said: ”This collision has tragically resulted in the death of a man.
“Anyone who witnessed this incident or can assist police in their investigations is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101.
“We are particular keen to trace the driver of a medium size black vehicle that was seen by witnesses in the area at the time of the accident.”
