A MAN who stole alcohol and razor blades has been given extra time to cooperate with the Criminal Justice Social Work department.

On Thursday at Alloa Sheriff Court, Jamie Burns admitted the theft from the town's B&M store on February 26 this year.

The 31-year-old also pleaded guilty to breaking his bail conditions by failing to check in with Alloa Police Station on February 21, 2017.

Defending, Claire McCarron admitted that her client had not attended court-ordered appointments to complete a report and Drug Treatment and Testing Order assessment.

She explained: "He has difficulties at home at the minute."

Sheriff David Mackie gave Burns, of Alloa's Tay Court, until April 20 to comply.
