WITNESSES are being sought after a fatal road collision in Denny yesterday.

The incident happened around 2.30pm on Thrusday, March 23, on Davies Row, near its junction with Stirling Street, where a Honda Jazz left the road and struck a stone wall.

Driving the vehicle was an 82-year-old male, who was taken to hospital for treatment, but unfortunately passed away later that day.

Police Scotland is investigating and inquiries into the full circumstances are ongoing. As part of that, anyone with any information is asked to come forward.

Sergeant Michael Montague, from the Road Policing Unit in Stirling, said:”At this time we are still trying to establish why the car left the road and we are keen to hear from any motorists who were on Davies Row at the time of the incident on Thursday afternoon.

"In addition, anyone with any further information relevant to our inquiries is also urged to get in touch."
