A LOCAL employee of Black & Lizars has been recognised.

Loyal staff members from Stirling, Belfast, and Glasgow were rewarded for dedication and diligence with accolades for long service at the company's annual employee awards ceremony.

The business, one of Scotland’s largest independent optometrists, conducted the ceremony in the Crieff Hydro Hotel in Perthshire last month.

Anne Donovan, an optometrist in the Stirling practice, was awarded in appreciation of 20 years of loyal service.

Vicki McCormick, IT manager of the company’s central support office at its Govan HQ, was also recognised in appreciation of 20 years of loyal service.

Meanwhile, Robert Stewart, manager of the Belfast Photographic practice, has had a full 40 years of loyal, during which he has witnessed the technological revolution in photography.

Michelle Le Prevost, managing director of Black & Lizars, said: "We are nothing without our highly trained, friendly and dedicated staff.

"We take huge pride in ensuring that job satisfaction is an inherent part of our vision and values, and I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Anne, Vicki, and Robert for their contribution to the Black & Lizars family."

These awards reflect the importance the company places on continuity, loyalty, staff retention, and the excellent working relationships cultivated at Black & Lizars.
