LUMINATE Festival of Creative Ageing is well underway and there is something to suit every taste still to come.

There's an opportunity to try the ukulele thanks to the Schoolgeld Ukulele Band. The one hour session takes place at 7pm at the Mcacrobert Centre on Tuesday, October 18. It is designed to give retired adults the opportunity to try the ukulele and learn just how easy it is to play this fun instrument. No experience is necessary and there is no requirement to read music.

A dementia friendly concert will take place at Macrobert on October 25 at 12 noon and 2pm on October 25. An afternoon out where you get to relax and enjoy live entertainment followed by refreshments. Musicians Robyn Stapleton and Claire Hastings met whilst studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where they both specialised in Scots song.

Creative Cowane's is set to take place every Wednesday until October 26 at Cowane's Hospital.

Creatively explore ancient Stirling from the perspective of 16th century merchant John Cowane. Find architecture, public monuments, poetry and inscriptions with opportunities to photograph or draw your findings if desired. Enjoy a tour of the Cowane's Hospital with Scotland's oldest bowling green and walks at neighbouring historic sites. Walks are short and suitable for all.
