LOCH Lomond Shores is putting the twinkle into winter with a brand new event taking place within the five-star Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre and surrounding woodland called Light Up at The Loch.

Tickets have just gone on sale this week for the event and are already going fast.

For just two special evenings on November 17 and 18 from 4.30pm until 8pm visitors can see the Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre like never before and admire beautiful owls, hawks and an amazing golden eagle under a blanket of twinkling festive lights.

There will be the opportunity to see the wonderful snowy owl, Bosch on the glove of its expert handler and then visitors can head out onto the woodland trail for more light effects and sound features before finishing the evening off with some live music from local musicians and a hot chocolate to warm the cockles at The Kilted Skirlie.

The event is aimed at anyone looking for something different to get into the festive spirit and tickets will also include a sneak peek at some of the cabins and features that will come alive from November 20 running up until Christmas Eve ( on selected dates) when the brand new Santa’s Enchanted Village will open.

Kat Kennedy , event organiser said: ‘’ This event is a great way to start off winter celebrations and is something completely new for us. Excitement is already building around Santa’s Enchanted Village which launches on Sunday, November 20, so Light Up at The Loch is an excellent chance for visitors to Loch Lomond Shores to soak up the festivities in the build up to Christmas.’’

Tickets are £7.50 and available now exclusively via ITISON.com. The event runs from 4.30-8pm both days and tickets are available every 15 minutes. The event lasts approximately 45 minutes to an hour and there will also be a face painting and balloon modelling zone (small charge applies).
