THE Church at Stirling has partnered up with Sainsbury's this month to ensure unfortunate children receive gifts this Christmas.

Volunteers are working with families and other community groups across Forth Valley to fill shoeboxes with items like toys, school supplies and hygiene items.

They will be holding collection points at the Sainsbury's store on Drip Road in hopes of making a "significant difference to the lives of needy children around the world".

A spokesperson said: "This year we are really excited to be partnering with Sainsbury’s on the Operation Christmas Child project. Between the October 16 and 29, Sainsbury’s customers can donate in the Drip Road Store.

"Information regarding the type of items to donate is available on the Operation Christmas Child website or in the Sainsbury’s store.

"The church will be collecting all donations at the end of October to pack them into shoe boxes.

"The Church at Stirling massively appreciates all who help with this project and particularly to Sainsbury’s for their help in making this happen."

Anyone wishing to get involved in the packing or processing of the shoe boxes can email office@churchatstirling.co.uk for more information.
