A TEAM of Stirling University researchers are inviting older people to take part in a project, which will inform future policies supporting people as they age.

The project, titled 'A Good Life in Later Years', is exploring what matters most to a decent and happy life as people get older.

The team from the Faculty of Social Sciences is working alongside Age Scotland and a group of community researches who live in the local area.

A group discussion is taking place in October as part of the project, asking people what is important to them as they age.

The session will be held on Tuesday October 18 between 10.30am and 12noon and will be attended by six to eight people.

During the sessions researchers will be looking to find out the extent to which quality of life issues, identified by community researchers, might be important to people.

They will also explore whether there are certain policies or practices that might support people to live well and have a good quality of life as they age.

The session will be held at the university and travel costs will be reimbursed for participants.
