EMERGENCY services raced out to the Kincardine Bridge this morning, following reports of a person "in danger of entering the water".
Rescue teams were dispatched at around 4am, with personnel from Police Scotland, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and members of the Queensferry Lifeboat service all on the scene.
The bridge itself was closed in both directions for a couple of hours during the incident.

Police have since confirmed that no one was hurt, with volunteers from the lifeboat service describing the call out as having a "successful outcome".
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Emergency services attended the Clackmannanshire Bridge at around 4am on Monday, July 4th, following a report of concern for a man.
“The bridge was partially closed to traffic while officers brought matters to a peaceful resolution at around 6:15am.
“A male in his 20’s was transferred to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for assessment and has since been discharged.
“We thank the public for their patience and cooperation.”
