Home care provider Carewatch, which looks after elderly or otherwise vulnerable people living in and around Stirling, has raised £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support by hosting a coffee morning for staff.

Held on Friday, September 25 at the John Player Building in Stirling Enterprise Park, the coffee morning was a big success and enjoyed a high level of attendance, including from businesses such as Divex, Perthshire Jam, Good Green Fun, Dovetails and S.T.E.P.

Carewatch Stirling employees brought in a selection of cakes and made hot drinks, which were then offered for sale and all proceeds donated to Macmillan.

Coffee mornings are Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event. Each year the charity asks people to hold them in order to support people affected by cancer.

Lynne McMaster, recruitment officer at Carewatch Stirling who was also awarded ‘Star Baker’ on the day, said: "As we deliver care and support services ourselves, we understand the work and research related charities do and how vital it is to help them continue. This is why we do our utmost to raise funds at every available opportunity."

Carewatch Stirling specialises in providing the highest level of personalised care, helping those who want to live at home regain and retain their independence.
