Maintenance work to repair a damaged bridge expansion joint at the south end of the A876 Clackmannanshire Bridge will take place between 10am and 3.30pm on Wednesday (2 September).

Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) will be set up to allow a single lane of live traffic to cross the Bridge, meaning there will be no diversions needed during the works.

The TTM will be as follows: single lane closure northbound with traffic lights, followed by a closure of lanes one and two southbound, again with traffic lights. The pedestrian footpaths will remain open throughout.

The Clackmannanshire Bridge is an integral network link allowing vehicles to cross the River Forth.

Undertaking this repair now will ensure that this busy section of Scotland’s trunk road network continues to operate safely and does not lead to further deterioration of the Bridge.

As the works will be carried out during off peak hours, only minimal delays are expected for vehicles using the Clackmannanshire Bridge. Road users are asked to plan their journey accordingly.
