Police in Forth Valley are appealing for witnesses following an assault and robbery in the St Ninians area of Stirling.

The incident happened around 7.45am on Saturday 20 June in the Main Street.

Two men forced their way into a property and assaulted a man inside. They caused damage before stealing items from within.

A 45-year-old man sustained injuries to his face, but did not require medical attention.

The first suspect is described as a man aged 18-19 years old, 5ft 9inches tall, with a slim build. He had short brown hair and a blue-hooded top that had the hood up.

The second suspect is described as a man also aged 18-19 years old, 5ft 9inches tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a cream-hooded top that had the hood up.

Detective Constable Colin Moffat of Forth Valley CID said: “This was a very distressing incident for the victim anda we’re urging anyone who may have seen the suspects in the area, or recognises their description, to come forward.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
