A MAN and a woman were remanded in custody on Wednesday (1 October) charged with being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs, following police seizures of cannabis and cocaine said to be worth over £140,000.
A 55-year-old man and 58-year-old woman, both of Alloa, appeared on petition at Stirling Sheriff Court.
The man faces two charges of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs, contrary to the 1971 Misuse of Drugs Act, while the woman is accused of one.
They made neither plea nor declaration at the brief private hearing, before Sheriff Wyllie Robertson, and committed for further examination.
They are expected to appear in court again, for full committal, on 9 October.
Police said they seized 50 kilos of cannabis resin from a car on the A907 Stirling to Alloa road on Tuesday, and later found heroin worth £4,200 at a property in Alloa.
