AN all new, touring Easter pantomime version of The Wizard of Oz will hit the Alhambra Theatre this month.

Enchanted Entertainment will bring the show to the Dunfermline venue on Good Friday, April, 14, as part of a large-scale international tour.

Producer Jezz Weatherall said: "We’re really looking forward to coming to Dunfermline during the Easter holidays with this fantastic show.

"It’s got a great cast of TV stars and an amazing Live Band. We know how popular the Christmas pantomimes are in Dunfermline and we’re can’t wait to bring another quality panto to the Alhambra Theatre this Good Friday."

Enchanted Entertainment will be bringing two action-packed performances of The Wizard of Oz to the theatre on the day.

The cast features a host of top quality professional performers including Britain’s Got Talent winners ‘Ashleigh & Pudsey’ in the iconic roles of Dorothy and Toto and they will be joined in the Land of Oz by comedy legend Bobby Davro as Scarecrow, Disney’s Art Attack Presenter Lloyd Warbey as Lion and Gabrielle Green, Katrina from CBBC’s Wolfblood, as Glinda.

Director Guy Pascall said: "It’s going to be great fun for all the family, everyone remembers such great characters as the ‘The Cowardly Lion’ and ‘The Tin Man’ who needs a heart etc.

"This show will take the original book written by L. Frank Baum and give it a new panto twist as only Enchanted Entertainment can."

Enchanted Entertainment have assembled a stellar cast and are planning some spectacular pantomime magic to ensure The Wizard of Oz will be a brilliant Easter show, with plenty of audience participation, fantastic sets and costumes, and of course jokes galore for all the family.
