MURRAYFIELD United Free Church in Bannockburn will play host to an acoustic concert featuring The In-Laws, so called because Suzanne and Steve Butler are indeed daughter-in-law and father-in-law/
As a writer and performer for acclaimed children's music organisation 'Fischy Music', Suzanne has written and performed many of their best-known songs, and has been in constant demand as a singer, fiddler, song writer and music leader since her late teens.
Father-in-law Steve has been a singer-songwriter and music producer since the 1970's and had a Virgin Music recording contract with his band in the 1990's before setting up 'Heaven' recording studio in Ayrshire - and later becoming Rector of a very music-focused Episcopal church in Leith.
Beautifully supported by piano, guitar, fiddle and percussion, they cover a wide range of music in their own distinctive mellow style - reminiscent at times of Joni Mitchell and Jackson Browne, with a strand of Scottish folk woven throughout.
Another evening of top quality music is guaranteed on October 7. Admission is £6, including tea, coffee, etc. at the interval.
